ABS-CBN has withdrawn its proposal for the television coverage of the PBA games.

In a statement releasedy by the giant network’s corporate communications department, ABS-CBN formally pulled out its bid “even after extensive discussions of both sides to come to an agreement”.

“Both the PBA and ABS-CBN have reached substantial common ground on most of the proposed terms, but were deadlocked on some crucial matters, which pushed the Kapamilya network to pull out.”

“ABS-CBN thanked the PBA for the opportunity to present its proposal,” added in the statement.

Despite the withdrawal of ABS-CBN to be the television partner of the PBA next season, PBA Commissioner Sonny Barrios said it doesn’t mean that Solar Sports will automatically get the league’s coverage rights.

Everything has been ironed out for Willie Revillame’s concert “Wowowillie” at the MTS Center, the biggest sports and concert venue in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, on September 28.

Willie will be the first Filipino artist to ever perform in a full show at the MTS Center. Among those who have performed at the MTS Center were Gwen Stefani, Hillary Duff, Bon Jovi, Il Divo, Josh Groban, Mariah Carey, Cher, Beyonce, David Copperfield, and Celine Dion.
