Isboy hopes that the recent acquisition of Asian Spirts by the Yao Group of Companies would mean the opening of flights to less traveled routes in the country.

Yes, the Yao Group of Companies has acquired Asian Spirit, the country’s first and only cooperative airline that concentrates on least traveled routes, in possible merger with Southeast Asian Airlines (SeaAir).

While Isboy’s source did not reveal the financial details of the acquisition, he said that Alfredo Yao, chairman of Yao Group of Companies,  noted the potential of air travel given the booming tourism business not just in the Philippines but in the entire Asian region. (more…)
