Everything has been ironed out for Willie Revillame’s concert “Wowowillie” at the MTS Center, the biggest sports and concert venue in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, on September 28.

Willie will be the first Filipino artist to ever perform in a full show at the MTS Center. Among those who have performed at the MTS Center were Gwen Stefani, Hillary Duff, Bon Jovi, Il Divo, Josh Groban, Mariah Carey, Cher, Beyonce, David Copperfield, and Celine Dion.

Regine Velasquez’s musical show “Songbird” has failed to soar when the ratings for its second episode last Thursday registered only 13.1 percent as compared to Koreanovela “Lovers” with 14.9 percent.

Observers claimed that the concept of “Songbird” is too sosy (sosyal), meaning it does not connect to the madlang pipol. And how true is the rumor that while the staff of “Songbird” wants to reformat the show to make it more masa, Regine wants to keep the format and want the show to be sosyal-sosyalan?

Regine should adjust and accept the fact that she’s no longer the sosyal song bird.

How true is this chika that we received that Precious Lara Quigaman will be kicked out as co-hosts of the daily noontime show Wowowee?

The rumor has it that Precious was no longer eyed in the set Wowowee on Thursday because she was no longer called in to report.

Ms. Lolit Solis finally agreed to give a rectraction. “There’s no factual basis for my article, which came out on October 15, 2007. I am extremely sorry for dragging the names of Sam and Piolo. SAM, PIOLO, I AM SORRY FOR THE HURT AND EMBARASSMENT THAT I CAUSED.”

From the beginning, all that ABS-CBN Star Magic artists Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby wanted was for Ms. Solis to retract her story as well as apologize. It can be recalled that Piolo and Sam wanted to settle this libel case as early ast the season of Christmas but Ms. Solis has shown no real contrition and has not rectracted her statement.

What she has said is that she wants to “make areglo” by apologizing. With no retraction forthcoming, there can be no settling of this case. Now that she has finally done so, Piolo and Sam withdrew the case against her.     Read the rest of this entry »
